Omdat het flexibeler is dan roestvrij staaldraad, wordt gaas met fosforbrons gebruikt bij de productie van veiligheidspapier. Het wordt gebruikt om watermerken te drukken om veiligheidspapier te kenmerken dat wordt gebruikt voor paspoorten, bankbiljetten en zegels, en afdrukken in andere waardevolle documenten.<\/p>\n Fosforbrons gaas wordt ook gebruikt in windtunneltoepassingen voor het testen van luchtbeweging over vaste objecten, zoals gebouwen. Drenth Holland produceert standaard en klantgespecificeerd monofilament polyester gaas voor gebruik in verschillende industrie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n De meeste synthetische materialen worden vervaardigd met polyesterdraad. Dit is vanwege de sterkte en het feit dat polyesterdraad bestand is tegen temperaturen en zuren. Wanneer een deel van de polyesterdraden wordt vervangen door antistatische draden levert dit extra voordelen op voor het gaas, omdat hierdoor antistatische eigenschappen worden gecre\u00eberd. <\/p>\n Polyester gaas wordt gebruikt in de voedingsmiddelenindustrie, bijvoorbeeld in de productie van poederkoffie, melk, babymelk, kaas en tomaatpoeder maar ook diervoeding. Polyester gaas wordt ook gebruikt bij de productie van houtproducten, zoals MDF en OSB.<\/p>\n De rand- en zijafwerking van het polyester gaas worden klantspecifiek gemaakt volgens de toepassingseisen. Er kan gebruik worden gemaakt van roestvrijstalen bevestigingsmiddelen of het gaas kan worden geleverd met een enkele oognaad, een dubbeleoognaad of een eindeloze naad. De randen worden beschermd tegen beschadiging, veelal met hoogfrequente randafwerking. Dit type gaas wordt ook gebruikt in de voedingsmiddelenindustrie voor het drogen van vettige melk en weipoeders, en voor het scheiden van voedselvaste stoffen en vloeistoffen. Een andere toepassing is in wasserijen. Hier wordt het spiraalvormige weefsel gebruikt om het water uit de kleding af te voeren.
