Paper and cardboard industry
Drenth Holland supplies custom-designed belts used in pressing water from the paper pulp to produce sheet paper. Our company is a major belt supplier to this industry, which produces 400 million metric tons of paper and cardboard annually, mainly in China, North America, northern Europe and Japan.
Security Paper and Banknotes
Drenth Holland custom-designs and manufactures bronze wire mesh that is used in the production of watermarks in security paper. These watermarks are incorporated into security paper that is used for banknotes, passports, birth certificates, academic degrees, postage stamps, ballot papers, and other government documents. The security mark identifies and authenticates such valuable documents.
Drenth Holland produces wire mesh for the two techniques used to produce watermarks on security paper: the dandy roll process, and the more complex cylinder mould process.
Food industry including dairy products
Drenth Holland supplies belts for a wide range of applications in the food industry, where food safety, longer shelf life, and product diversity are key factors. The range of applications for custom-designed woven wire cloth include vegetable washing; production of soft cheeses; drying milk for production of milk powder; and transport of raw materials and food products to and from processes, such as cooling, freezing, drying, heating, steaming, baking, dewatering, pressing, filtering, washing and cleaning.
Wood based panel industry
(MDF and OSB)
Wood-based panel is an engineered product that is pressed and extruded from wood chips, sawmill shavings, and even sawdust, and a synthetic resin or another suitable binder.
Drenth Holland supplies the belts used in the process of pressing the wood-based panel into sheets.
Sludge dewatering
Drenth Holland supplies synthetic belts for the belt presses and for the gravity thickness solutions used in dewatering sludge in wastewater treatment plants, power plants, refineries, and drinking water production plants. This process reduces the sludge volume and thus contributes to more cost-effective sludge transport.
The process involves using one of two dewatering techniques: plate and frame filter press and belt press. The belt press is often used in municipal wastewater treatment plants when high-moisture content is acceptable in the filter cake and produces 18 to 25% solids by weight.
